Jessie Healy, L.Ac. LMT
After graduating with a B.S. in environmental studies from Slippery Rock University, Jessie began to realize just how disconnected we have become from the natural world. It became apparent to her that we must first learn to heal ourselves before we can truly embrace and heal the Earth. This realization inspired and led her to pursue the study of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal medicine as a way of reconnecting to nature and helping both people and the Earth to heal.
Jessie is a graduate of AOMA Graduate School of Integrated Medicine where she earned her Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She has clinical experience ranging from community clinics of underserved populations, Austin Recovery Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center, as well as Medical Qi Gong and others. Jessie is NADA certified by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association.
Jessie also studied massage at the Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy. Since 2007 she has explored several different modalities such as Deep tissue, Myo-fascial release, Crani0Sacral, and Thai massage therapies. She currently holds a New Jersey massage license.
Jessie’s love for the Earth led her to passionately pursue an education in Native American philosophies, healing techniques, and primitive skills alike. She has studied and taught these skills since 2005, as well as having successfully integrated these gifts into her everyday life.
Through her life experiences, Jessie has become passionate about acupuncture, herbs, and the healing powers of touch. She has discovered these modalities are a wonderful way to trigger the body’s innate ability to heal itself - a way of calming the soul so that we may hear more clearly the wisdom of the Earth, which is always speaking to us.
